Welcome

So what is this site and why does it exist? As some of you may remember, back in 1987 I was the photo editor for the yearbook. When we created the yearbook we used the actual photos to create the yearbook for publishing and all the negatives were basically given back to us but really never used again. At the end of the year I was cleaning out the yearbook office and rather than throwing the negatives away I decided that I would keep them and maybe someday assemble a slideshow for a class reunion or something. So for the past 33 years I’ve held onto these negatives just waiting to do something with them, and this past year I have finally taken the time to scan all the negatives as well as some light digital editing, and finally post them to their new online home. However, not all of the negatives have survived the test of time, some of the chemicals started to breakdown on some of the negatives causing the colors to change, as well as scratches and dust that happens with negatives over time. I am also fairly certain that I am missing one folder of negatives which I still hope to locate in the near future. Please remember we were not professional photographers we were a bunch of teenage kids doing our best so yes there are some blurry pics or ones with some bad lighting, etc. But hopefully you will all enjoy this little snapshot of the 1987 school year. This website will be updated with more photos as I continue to process more of the scanned negatives. But here is the first 700 or so – J. Palmer
